Our scientists, engineers, technologists and technicians at Nampak Research and Development (R&D), have state-of-the-art analytical equipment and design tools at their disposal to apply their knowledge in different fields, including: materials science, analytical chemistry, microbiology, food and beverage science and coatings technology.
Nampak R&D, our divisions and customers are supported by an extensive database compiled from decades of experience, case studies, strategic packaging intelligence and technical and scientific information.
Nampak R&D was awarded the inaugural South African Association of Food Science and Technology (SAAFOST) President’s award in 2003, in recognition of its significant contribution towards achieving SAAFOST’s mission of advancing food science in the supply of wholesome food.
