Sustainable packaging
Nampak recognises the role it has to play in providing products and services that minimise their impact on the environment and consumers.
The group participates in extensive recycling initiatives and continues to invest significant time and resources in the development of more sustainable products largely through work done at our research and development facilities.
We strive to maintain and develop our existing manufacturing footprint in a sustainable manner that complements our significant capacity to deliver.
It is our goal in future years to have the specific material sustainability data independently assured. In the 2015 financial year, Nampak’s Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) rating ensured it was included in the JSE Socially Responsible Investment Index. Nampak also participated in CDP South African Climate Change 2015.
