Nampak Plastics Europe Ltd is the UK’s leading producer of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) bottles, primarily for the milk and juice markets.
The company has nine sites across the UK, producing over two billion bottles each year.
We are best known for high-quality, lightweight, environmentally-friendly packaging products — such as our Infini bottle — and have won numerous awards, domestically and internationally, for our commitment to innovation, sustainability, corporate social responsibility (CSR) and workforce engagement.
At Nampak Plastics Europe, there are three main qualities that set us apart: our innovation, our sustainability and our people.
With our world-class production processes, we are committed to deploying the most innovative technology available and have made significant investment into multiple camera vision systems, bottle design innovation, bottle handling and light weighting.
We have also had a new machine created specifically for our main bottling plant, using mechanical actuators rather than hydraulic cylinders — making ours one of the most productive bottle production lines in the world.
We are committed to hiring, training and retaining the best professionals in the industry. We do this by embracing a culture of employee engagement, thereby gaining valuable input from all our staff. We were also one of the founding members of the British government’s Engage for Success scheme in 2012.

Products and services
At Nampak Plastics, our primary focus is manufacturing highdensity polyethylene (HDPE) single and multi-layer containers for the food and drink industry.
The most common usage of our bottles is for milk, cream and juice as they are intended for noncarbonated liquid food with a fat percentage of up to 52% and are suitable for refrigeration.
The Infini bottle, launched by Nampak Plastics in 2012, was created to be the new bottle of choice for the British milk market, which was under pressure to reduce carbon and waste through initiatives such as the Courtauld Commitment and the Dairy Roadmap. Over 800 million Infini bottles have now been sold in the UK from leading retailers including: Marks & Spencer, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Morrisons. Demand has also grown internationally, and Infini is now on sale in Australia and New Zealand, with trials also being conducted in other markets.
Infini is one of the world’s most decorated items of packaging, winning awards on a national and international scale.
Highlights include being named Green Product of the Year at the British Engineering Excellence Awards and winning a Silver prize at the international DuPont packaging awards.
