Celebrities take a day off to motivate learners

The Lifestyle 'Carry Yourself with Confidence' campaign educates and empowers young women, between the ages of 11 and 16, from 500 disadvantaged schools nationwide.

Now in its second year, the campaign is estimated to have reached over 72 000 girls.

The 2012 campaign culminated in an event at a tea garden in Johannesburg.  The girls who were chosen to attend had entered an essay competition, where the theme was "What confidence means to me."

The day was filled with touching personal stories, guest speakers and motivational talks.  The girls were also treated to a delicious lunch, and entertainment by Slikour.  Lifestyle's Brand Ambassador, Bonang Matheba, joined Miss South Africa 2012, Melissa Bam, in listening to a psychologist talk about confidence.

"Many young women dont have the advice and guidance they need to be able to work through the changes of growing up" says Nampak Tissue's Lifestyle Brand Manager.  The 'Carry Yourself with Confidence' campaign focuses on puberty and the changes that occur in a young woman's body, as well as the importance of personal hygiene, self-love, esteem and confidence.
